Australie Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet-Sauvignon Shiraz 2015

Wine Penfolds BIN 389 Cabernet Sauvignon - Cabernet Shiraz ShirazBin 389 2015 is one of the wonders of the Australian Penfolds field. Produced for the first time in 1960, this Australian red wine is often nicknamed "Baby Barn," a nod to the great wine of the area. A blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Shiraz, Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2015 is adorned with a deep color garnet color. The nose shows fruity flavors (blueberry and blackcurrant) with notes of vanilla and herbs. On the palate, the attack is medium-bodied, the wine reveals complex flavors of black and blue fruits. The tannins are refreshing and perfectly integrated. The 12bouteilles Board: Already very good today, Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2015 even assert more time, until 2036.

The story of what is the most shining star in the Australian wine industry began in 1844 with Penfolds. Served, in the begining as elixir wines until nowadays, the high quality of its Bin made them a world renowned giant; since 1959 with the first output: Bin 28.

As 'Baby Grange' became famous in its quality but certainly no worse than its big brother, the Penfolds Grange. In the glass of the Penfolds Bin 389 appears Cabernet / Shiraz in a deep vermilion, tight from the bottom up to the rim. It has an intense and expressive bouquet with notes of barrel fermentation, ripe flavors of blackberries, black currants, pepper and fine mix of spicy (soy, basil) and sweet spice (liquorice). The oak is present but remains in the background. Lively and full-bodied, he shows on the palate - with intense, lively fruit (black berries, quince, rhubarb, medlar), firmly interwoven with hints of cocoa, coconut, cedar, oak, herbs and a little mint, ripe tannins are more juicy fullness on the palate and gives both a sense of sweetness, dense with good texture, clearly structured, perfectly balanced and long.

- Color: deep, dark Purpurrubinrot Fragrance: first dark fruit on the nose aromas of cherries, blackberries, sweet ripe black currants, backed by hints of chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and some cedar, the slightly spicy-spicy further develop into hints of Mediterranean herbs , smoked ham and toasted white bread, not absolute classic and yet unmistakably Bin 389 taste: its powerful, full bodied, this a touch exotic, with juicy dark fruit and spice, oak and the powerful, fleshy tannins are well integrated and give the wine solid Rückgrast with both denser abundance on the palate, powerful, concentrated and fresh with long finish allergens: contains sulfites

My friends from Penfolds Wines brought it to me.
A wine with a high layer and a nice cherry colour. Strong smell of berries. According to my personal opinion, it was quite flat on the palate.

I drank Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet-Shiraz with my partner.
Medium dark colour of ripe cherries. Notes of strawberry on the nose. I enjoyed the slightly bitter surprise in the aftertaste.
Goes with any meat.

Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2013
To drink in good company.
Cherry red colour. Strong smell of berries. The barrel leaves good flavours.
I had it with cod. Very good.
