Founded in 1896, Bodegas Lustau started out with just a small estate named "Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza," meaning "Our Lady of Hope." From that hope and those humble beginnings was born what would become one of the most important wineries and sherry producers in the world. More than 120 years of passion and innovation have built this brand both its legacy and its future.
From the extensive collection of sherries offered by Lustau, which cover the whole colour palette, Lustau Palo Cortado Peninsula lies just in the middle. This complex wine has the richness you would expect from an Oloroso with the aromas that normally associated with an Amontillado. A rare wine, Palo Cortado is a beautiful amber colour.
As a dry sherry made with 100% Palomino grapes, this is a very crisp and flavourful offering from a historic winery. In the mouth, the nutty, concentrated flavour and a nice level of acidity make this the perfect pairing for vegetables, charcuterie, and Asian cuisine. Its centric location in the sherry world makes this a very versatile spirit that can be enjoyed as an aperitif, a digestif, or on its own. The choice is yours; all you have to do it get your hands on a bottle of this award-winning sherry.

Lustau

Emilio Lustau S.A. was founded in 1896 by Don José Ruiz-Berdejo. It was a humble beginning: Don José, a secretary in the courts of justice, used to cultivate the vineyards at his estate "Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza", where he stored and aged the wines and afterwards sold them to the larger exporting companies. He was in fact what is known as an "almacenista".
