Lustau Palo Cortado Península (Palomino and Palomino Fino)

TASTING NOTE:

  • View: It is bright amber.
  • Nose: Elegant, dry and aromatic, with aromas of nuts, notes of spices, vanilla, old wood and smoked and roasted touches.
  • Mouth: On the palate it is dry, balanced and powerful acidity, with roasted hazelnut flavor mixed with notes of vanilla, dark chocolate and coffee. Concentrated and long finish.

NAME OF ORIGIN: Sherry

VINEYARD: Emilio Lustau Wineries. Its wine Lustau Palo Cortado Península manages to unify the delicate aromatic qualities of a stacked mixed with the body of a fragrant, getting to be a reference worldwide for its high quality.

GRAPES: Palomino.

AGING: Their aging process is carried out for approximately 12 years, in American oak boots. It is made using the traditional system of soleras and criaderas, under a flower veil, which protects the wine from oxidation. Its oxidative aging is carried out for about thirty years.

ELABORATION: Its grapes are harvested, rigorously selected and destemmed to begin pressing and obtaining the must, and then continue with its alcoholic fermentation process.

WINE PAIRING: It is accompanied very well with smoked meats, spiced dishes, spicy dishes, mushrooms, foie gras and cured cheeses.

RECOMMENDED SERVICE TEMPERATURE: 13-14ºC

Light amber in colour. It is nutty and dry with nuances of vanilla, mocha and dark chocolate. Dry and very concentrated, this wine has a long and elegant finish.
