The Camolas Selection Reserva 2017 is produced in the Portuguese wine region of Setúbal, which is located near Lisbon. Already the Phoenicians loved this wine region and the favourite wine of the Sun King Ludwig came from this Portuguese region.
The Camolas Selection Reserva 2017 of Adega Camolas has an intense dark garnet colour with a very complex bouquet of red fruits and mocha. On the palate, it is very balanced and has a long finish with notes of dark chocolate.
This wine goes very well with meat dishes but also with tasty cheeses.

- View: Camolas Selection Reserva 2017 has an intense, dark garnet colour.
- Nose: The bouquet is complex and rich, charged with notes of red fruits and mocha, merged with the toasty hues from the oak.

APPELLATION: Setubal
VINEYARD: Adega Camolas. Located in the Palmela region in Portugal, this family business has been in the winemaking arts since the 1970s. The recollection and harvesting of grapes from neighbouring vineyards in the same denomination are the heart and soul of this company. Transforming the grapes into high quality wines is the art they have perfected over the decades.
GRAPES: Castelão, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet.
PREPARATION: The different varieties are harvested, selected, and vinified separately. Malolactic fermentation is conducted in stainless steel vats, with American oak, at a controlled temperature that oscillated between 24° and 26°C and daily scheduled pump-overs that were decreasing in intensity as the wine reached the desired aromas and colour. When the must is fully vinified, the varieties are blended, and bottled for consumption.
PAIRING: Ideal to be served with game dishes, such as boar, rabbit, and hare, but also pairs well with hard cheeses, such as ilha, grana, emmental, and gruyere.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 12-14°C
ALCOHOL: 14.5%
