TASTING NOTES OF Château d'Yquem Magnum 2007:

  • View: Beautiful bright golden color
  • Nose: concentrated ripe fruit (mirabelle plum, apricot and mango) and dried fruit (fig, raisin, and quince), followed by hints white fruit (pears and peaches) and spicy notes (Saffron, curry, golden flavors Bouquet , fresh mint and eucalyptus)
  • Mouth: The wine starts sumptuously on the palate, with an uncommon volume and body. It is extremely smooth and well structured, providing intense pleasure of tasting for which keywords are balance, opulence and refinement.

Château d'Yquem Magnum 2007

2007 is a year that is part of law among those who wrote the legendary Château d'Yquem. The Noble Mold grows late, between late September and early October, but its development is complete (which is rare), just like the 1997. Beyond the particular climatic conditions eventful this vintage, Château d 'Yquem 2007 triumphs standing out as one of the greatest vintages of Sauternes. The color shines with a glittering gold. The nose shows intense romatica purity, which is the prerogative of Yquem style. The olfactory bouquet made up of many nuances, opens on the concentration of exotic fruits, then give way to the greed of honey notes. Next are the refreshing notes of citrus, such as grapefruit and lemon. On the palate, the wine is vibrating energy and bursts of flavors, revealing a mouth the precise plot and ending. Example of harmony, the balance between sweetness, acidity and alcohol, has a fullness worthy of the greatest Sauternes.

Chateau D'Yquem Magnum 2007

A fortified for any occassion. I drank it with a connoisseur of wines.
Good colour. The flavour doesn't go out right away.

Chateau D'Yquem Magnum 2007

A taste of nothing in particular, just wine.
In my personal opinion, it perhaps was a bit dear.

Not suitable for a menu as varied as we had. The best friend from Sauternes.
Has a strong colour. It's a pity that was slightly vinegary.

Château d'Yquem Blanc Magnum 2004
It had an intense colour. Such a tasty flavour with hints of chocolate.
Great wine menu that would go well with a good meat.
I opened the bottle for my best friend.
