Elaboration of Château d'Yquem 50cl 2001

Château d'Yquem 50cl 2001 (Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc)

Beautiful brilliant golden color. Concentrated bouquet of ripe fruit (mirabelle plum, apricot and mango) and dried fruit (fig, raisin and quince), followed by hints of white fruit (pear and vine peach) and spicy nuances (saffron, curry, toasty aromas, fresh mint and eucalyptus). This vintage's bouquet has a rare subtlety that can only increase with age.

I tried it during a wine tasting.
This Sémillon is very pleasing to the eye. I liked the Château d'Yquem 50cl, although it tasted a bit rough.
We didn't pair it well, but the wine was good.

Powerful attack.
In general, neither hot nor cold.

My boyfriend brought me this wine bottle.
A beautiful vivid colour. It was light but tasted like blackberries.
