Château D'Yquem 375ml 2006 (Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: Château d'Yquem 375ml 2006 has a golden, clear and bright yellow.
  • Nose: The nose is extremely complex and defined notes of pear in syrup, apricot, apricots, orange blossoms, rose petals, memories of orange peel and candied fruit, soft vanilla, caramel and flavorings, honey-appreciated on a slightly mineral background.
  • Mouth: The palate is flavourful, rich but delicate and elegant, its sweetness is balanced by a very present acidity, balance is appropriate and allowed to drink now, very persistent and long, almost eternal.

GRAPES: 80% semillon and 20% sauvignon blanc.

Château D'Yquem 1Er Grand Cru Classé Sauternes Blanc 375ml 2006

Château D'Yquem 1Er Grand Cru Classé Sauternes Blanc 375ml pairs very well with a spicy fish . The Château D'Yquem 1Er Grand Cru Classé Sauternes Blanc 375ml is a familiar wine of Château d'Yquem.
It had a deep colour at first sight. Pleasant, well-balanced.

Château d'Yquem 375ml 2003
Discovering Chateau d'Yquem stats with the bouquet. Although not always very outgoing in young vintages, it is marked by fruit (apricot, mandarin, and occasionally tropical fruit) and oak (vanila and toasty aromas). Older vintages, on the other hand, have extraordinarily complex fragrance as soon as the bottle is opened. The bouquet is amazingly suble, with hints of dried fruit (dried apricot, prune, stewed fruit, and marmalade), spice (cinnamom, saffron, and liquorice), and even flowers (linden blossom, etc).
The first impression of Chateau d'Yquem on the palate is always very silky, and often sumptuous. It then fills out, "coating the palate". This fine wine has a strong, but never overbearing character, with great elegance and poise. It always mantains a balance between sugar and acidity (sweetness and freshness). A touch of bitterness can also contribute to the overall harmony. Chateau d'Yquem aftertaste is legendary, and it tells another story, which lasts and lasts...
