Reviews of Château Bastor-Lamontagne 1983
The 56 hectares in one piece Bastor Lamontagne span the prestigious terroir of Sauternes, on clay soil and sand and gravel. The vines of the vineyard is composed of 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon.
The wines are aged in barrels (30% new) for 16 months.
This vintage 2012est a blend of 50% Semillon and 50% Sauvignon. Bastor Lamontagne will produce a third of its regular production in 2012. It offers aromas of honey and fine notes of apricot and pineapple, which give much freshness.

Château Bastor Lamontagne Blanc 2012
15,5 / 20 by Jancis Robinson, 16/20 Bettane & Desseauve, 90-92 / 100 by Robert Parker and 3 stars in the Decanter are some examples of the plethora of praise received by this magnificent Sauternes.
In the glass, there is a very rich nose, almost voluptuous, expressing beautiful fresh aromas of pear, pineapple notes, almonds, orange blossom and honey.
This wine, rich and deep, we offer a large amplitude in the mouth, while silk and lace. It is pure and elegant, and its power is harmoniously balanced with good acidity.
A true wonder!
