Old property of the King of France, he sold it in 1711 to Knight Montaigne will give it its name: Château Bastor Lamontagne. We regularly categorizes the "Sauternes Modern" for its finesse, balance and freshness.
The 56 hectares in one piece Bastor Lamontagne span the prestigious terroir of Sauternes, on clay soil and sand and gravel. The vines of the vineyard is composed of 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon.
The wines are aged in barrels (30% new) for 16 months.
This vintage 2012est a blend of 50% Semillon and 50% Sauvignon. Bastor Lamontagne will produce a third of its regular production in 2012. It offers aromas of honey and fine notes of apricot and pineapple, which give much freshness.
