Elaboration of Varvaglione Malvasia del Salento 2017
Varvaglione Malvasia del Salento 2017 (Malvasía)
- View: This white wine has a very light yellow colour, like that of diluted honey.
- Nose: Drinkers will immediately notice a tropical fruity scent from this wine. Smells of Malvasia grapes marry perfectly with honey and vanilla.
- Mouth: This wine tastes as fresh and fruity as its aroma suggests. Even though this is a dry wine, it goes down smoothly. While sweet, the sugars are not overpowering. For this reason, it goes better with a Mediterranean meal than a dessert.
VINEYARD: The Vavaglione vineyard makes its home in Puglia, Itay. Here, both grapes for wine and olives for olive oil are grown. Visitors are welcome to take tours of the land, vineyards, and cellars. Vavaglione prides itself with mixing the past and the present, using modern technology and traditional techniques to make their wine and olive oil.
AGEING: As a white wine, this wine is not aged in barrels. However, customers can age the wine in the bottle if they wish.
PREPARATION: The grapes in the Vavaglione vineyard are treated to a beautiful Mediterranean climate which ensures their bold fresh flavours. After the grapes are picked, they are swiftly macerated, present, and allowed to ferment for 24 hours in stainless steel tanks before being bottled.
PAIRING: This wine pairs best with white fish, shrimp, and other kinds of seafood.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10-12°C
