Château Gruaud Larose 2011

This is the finest Gruaud Larose since the 1990. It Exhibits on opaque purple color along with a big, sweet nose of creme de cassis, new saddle leather, spice box, and boysenberries. Made in a rich, broad, savory, juicy style with lots of succulence, but none of the masculinity and ruggedness oft found in this offering, this wine is loaded with concentration and extract. The tannins are Largely concealed by the remarkable intensity of fruit and density. (Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, April 2010).

Saint Julien Château Gruaud Larose 2Ème Cru Classé 2011

- Weinwisser in April 2012: '' Rich Purple Garnet, tight in the center, outside purple shimmer
- Delicate, ripe bouquet that smells of black cherries, cedar touch, subtly floral Cabernet spice
- Elegant, juicy palate with very fine, tightly structured tannins, here also shows licorice and black olives, in the long final blueberries and Black Currant
- Last year I'm almost desperate and just could not understand that the 2010s could not convince
- This year again this is unquestionably the case
- It will be cheaper than all three Léovilles, but is at the same level
- Conclusion: Shop '' allergens: contains sulfites

A good wine.
Fantastic colour. When you smell it you can note aromas such as licorice, violet, .... It reveals a kind of salty aftertaste.
