Château Beychevelle, located in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle is fourth Grand Cru Classé (range 1855). This is a classic Saint Julien, which is characterized by its roundness, richness of aromas and power. Its name means in old French Beychevelle fall candles to ships passing in front of the Château and its magnificent gardens were slouching their veils as a sign of loyalty to the first Duke of Epernon, owner of prestigious country. Beychevelle also produces a second wine called Amiral de Beychevelle.

I had it at some good friends house.
Red intense cherry colour and very high layer. Toasty and tobacco aromas. A wine with body.
Good wine, even when taken alone.
