TASTING NOTES:

  • View: A nice deep black, f
  • Nose: ruits macerated nose, still showing nutty oak. A very impressive young character.
  • Palate: Very smooth soft structure in the mouth, with silky tannins and integration and dignified presence of fruit. Nice, soft hand taking. Really quite good.

Quatrième Grand Cru Classé.
Le chateau de Beychevelle couvre une superficie de 90 hectares plantés de 62 % de cabernet sauvignon, environ 30 % de merlot et le reste en cabernet franc et petit verdot. C'est un quatrième grand cru classé. Sans doute les Saint Julien ne paraissent il pas aussi complexe et d'aussi longue garde que les Pauillac, mais ils les surpassent par leur sève et leur élégance. Le cabernet franc et le cabernet sauvignon règnent en maître comme dans la plupart des Pauillac.

It has a dark red colour. The main aromas were coffee and wood.This red is lasting, it has a long aftertaste.

Red intense cherry colour and very high layer. Toasty and tobacco aromas. A wine with body.
