It is Paul Despagne, extraordinary winemaker, who gave Château Grand Corbin Despagne its nobility letters through the quality and the regularity of the wines he has been producing for more than 40 years.
In 2010 François Despagne began the conversion of his vineyard to organic culture (labelling in 2013).
The year 2011 expresses a distinctive nose with notes of cherry and cocoa more characteristic of a Pomerol than a Saint-Emilion. On the mouth it is spicy and presents an average fruit concentration. Its volume is round and well balanced. The length is ample and its tannins are tight but fine giving the wine a nice ageing and cellaring potential
