Great wine menu that would go well with a good meat. I drank it with my best friend.
I was impressed by its colour. Coffee aromas. It was light.

Château Dassault 2013 has a nose full of freshness and jammy. A beautiful field and a beautiful balance for this wine. The tannins are powerful but structured and fluxes. A great success.
According Bettane & Desseauve: "Good value: Regular as clockwork, there are Château Dassault seats with beautiful every year Good elegant and firm definition, precise red fruit, tannin well drawn, longer.."
"Lots of blueberry and dark-chocolate character. Medium to full body with very good fruit in the center palate and a medium finish" by James Suckling "

Formerly named Castle Couperie, this Saint-Emilion Grand Cru renamed in 1955 when Marcel Dassault made the acquisition, which he calls "heart suddenly thought of." After a draconian work both on 28 hectares of vines in the cellar, Château Dassault becomes Classified Growth in 1969, reconfirmed in 2006.
The property is now in the hands of grand-son of the purchaser, Laurent Dassault, supported by Laurence Brun. With a team of enthusiasts, the vineyard has a policy of continuous improvement, closely watched by the famous consultant oenologist Michel Rolland.
The vines of the vineyard is composed of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Château Dassault 2012 will be played the card of seduction this year. On generous raspberry, cassis and blackberry, it presents the opulence, the body and a smooth finish. Certainly one of the revelations of this vintage.

Sweet red and black currant fruit combined with forest floor and floral notes make for an enticing aromatic display. Never a blockbuster, Dassault tends to be a supple, elegant, fruit-filled wine that is very satisfying on a hedonistic level. The 2008 fulfills all of those requirements. It displays lovely balance, soft tannins, and good freshness as well as liveliness in its medium-bodied, richly fruity personality.

With an harmonious blend of 65% Merlotand the restCabernet-Franc and Cabernet-Sauvignon, the Château Dassault is a supple, fruity and slightly woody wine.
The robe is garnet red with violet hints.
The aromatic palette is incredibly rich. This wine is a real olfactory pleasure.
On the nose it expresses notes of raspberry, blackberry and gooseberry mixing with aromas of cinnamon and light woody notes.
The attack is lively and fruity offering a nice freshness. The tannins are mature and soft.
A very harmonious whole.
