- Nose: Powerful body accompanied by a lot of very rich aromas, supported by soft and ripe tannins. Perfumes Provencal olives, black cherries and candied blackberries, truffles and toast.
- Mouth: The palate full-bodied, thick and pure composed of many layers.
VINES: Château Angelus extends over 39 hectares of vineyards, half consisting of Merlot, 47% Cabernet Franc and a small area dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon. The property belongs to the family Laforest Boüard since the late eighteenth century and has gone through eight generations.
GRAPES: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
AGEING: Aging in new barrels from 18 to 22 months.
DEVELOPMENT: The wine Château Angelus 1976 is a red wine of international renown, placed to the rank of Premier Grand Cru Classé "A". It was developed from the union of different varieties of grape varieties of black, including a high proportion of Cabernet Franc. The vines of 40 years on average, enjoy an exceptional soil composed of limestone and clay soils and have a southern exposure.
PAIRING: Drink versatile wine to be enjoyed at any time accompanied by good food and quality. He agrees wonderfully well with red meats and small game such as pheasant or woodcock.
