- Nose: scented raspberry and kirsch preserved with hints of pepper, dried herbs and spices is perceived.
- Mouth: The palate is voluptuous tannins structured with great freshness at its center. Half full bodied, the palate is filled with preserved red berries and spicy notes, with an uplifting ending.
APPELLATION: Russian River Valley.
VINEYARD: Sidebar Cellars.
GRAPES: 78% Zinfandel, Alicante 11% and 11% Petite Sirah.
AGEING: Aging in neutral oak for 14 months.
PREPARATION: is subjected to a fermentation and maceration 20 days before aging.
WINE PAIRING: This wine would match well with mushroom risotto and grilled mushrooms.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 6 - 10 °C
