TASTING NOTES:

  • Color: Intense Amber.
  • Flavour: Elegant, aromatic and woody notes of oak.
  • Taste: Mildly sweet. Good finish and aftertaste.

PRODUCER: Bodegas Rubio. This story begins in 1893 with the meeting of a forgotten oak barrels at a winery in La Palma del Condado, which contained a very different aged brandy from anything seen so far. The only brand they had was the name of Luis Felipe, this having been reserved for the Duke of Montpensier, son of Luis Felipe I, who was the king of France and resided in Seville Palace of San Telmo until 1890. Bodegas Rubio they are the lucky heirs of this enological treasure since 1965, when they acquired screeds and began exclusive distillate production was mainly as expected brandy.

PRODUCTION DETAILS: It is imported from the Caribbean with 5 years of aging in wood. Arriving in Spain has a second aging through the traditional process of "soleras" and "criaderas", in American oak barrels of brandy over 60 years, with the seal of the legendary Luis Felipe. For its unique flavor is recommended to take it neat or on the rocks.
