The Ron Barcelo Añejo is a rum of Dominican origin, which comes from a purified blend of rum aged patiently in oak barrels. From the Dominican tradition, this rum retains its high quality and fine taste.
The company has been producing since 1929 and since then it has set itself the goal of producing one of the best rums in the world. Ron Barcelo Añejo has been produced since 1990 and is followed with the same maniacal care by the founder's heirs, now in their fifth generation, who are still guided by their passion and love for quality.
Bright amber in colour, Ron Barcelo Añejo is distinguished by its chocolate notes, which make it attractive and soft, with a silky structure resulting from the presence of deep fruity traces.
The finish is characterized by a definite flavour of dried cherries, accompanied by pepper and tobacco, which give Ron Barcelo Añejo its characteristic enveloping flavour, with woody features that leave a pleasant sensation of robustness on the palate.
Aged 3 years according to the Caribbean tradition, this rum keeps intact the scents of spices, caramel and nutmeg. Ideal if consumed as a cocktail or as part of a mojito, Ron Barcelo Añejo has an alcohol content of 38%.
