Plantation Trinidad 2003

The Rum Trinidad Plantation is carried out in Trinidad, the largest island state of Trinidad and Tobago. Made exclusively from sugar cane molasses, after distillation takes place in a column still, this rum aged for eight years in barrels that previously contained bourbon. Subsequently it is sent at the Château de Bonbonnet, in France, where further aged in barrels for 4 years. Of topaz yellow with a golden sheen, the Plantation Rum Trinidad opens to the nose with intense fruit aromas of peach and mango, which evolve into hints of honey, nutmeg and pepper notes. The palate is fruity, with an explosion of lemon and pear on a background of toasted almonds, popcorn and paprika. Excellent sipping rum, is ideal in combination with a fine cigar.

- Tasting notes: Very smooth, has a light golden color. Sweet aromas of orange peel, orange caramel (shades of Cointreau and Grand Marnier) and discrete pear, with a nice sharp contrast earthly. The flavor shows additional complexity, with an oily texture and orange flavors of grilled yellow peppers sweet, vanilla, oak snuff light or dry leather. Medium heavy body ends long and sweet, leaving a refreshing orange flavor.
- DETAILS OF PREPARATION: The collection of Ron Plantation offers unique and exquisite treasures Caribbean. Each Ron is an expression of traditions and Caribbean flavors without a doubt. The recording methods are different depending on the plantation and country of origin. Distillation in "burning" soft piston stops, aromatic rums occur while the "burning apparatus column" is producing light and elegant rums
- ALCOHOL: 42º
- PAIRING: Because rum is fruity and delicate it is advisable to take it alone.
