You will like to know that…
Do you know the legend of the Kraken? The Kraken is a giant squid, a sea monster that lives at a depth of 3000 metres under the sea and enjoys visiting the surface to attack ships.
Legend has it that one of this sea monster's prey was a ship carrying spiced black rum from the Caribbean to Norway. The ship, the crew and all the barrels of rum were swallowed up by the sea, except for one barrel, which was later donated to the Queen of Norway. This type of rum was later renamed Kraken, as a tribute (or sacrifice) to the disarming power of the famous monster.
Kraken Black Spiced is made from sugar cane from Trinidad and Tobago and bottled in England. Before ageing, the spirit is blended with exotic spices such as ginger, cloves and cinnamon, which give it its strong personality and flavour. A little suggestion: enjoy it neat or mixed with cola!
