Deadhead is a Mexican rum made from cane juice and molasses, Deadhead Dark Chocolate Monkey ** is the brand's second vintage, bottled in a monkey's head, emblematic of Mayan rites and traditions, and is based on a fermentation process using water from the snow-covered peaks of the Poyautécati volcano. The Deadhead Dark Chocolate Monkey is made in a family business in Chiapas. On the palate, this Mexican Rum offers a taste of chocolate, cherry and butter.

The cane wine obtained undergoes a double distillation, the heart of which is used to guarantee a rum of optimal quality. this distillate is aged for 5 years before being blended by the cellar master and then infused with regional cocoa, slowly roasted.

DETAILS OF THE PREPARATION: Sugar cane is grown crushed, and the juice is boiled to remove the crystallized sugar. What remains is pure molasses; the finest molasses is selected to ensure consistent quality of fermentation. In small amounts, fresh cane juice sugar is fermented slowly and distilled twice in copper pot stills to remove impurities and leave an exquisite aroma, texture and pure flavors. It is aged for 6 years in American barrels. The interaction of wood gives our rum luxurious rich in color; while mature and soothes the spirit until perfectly enhances the elegant aromas and flavors with opulent character of the different barrels.
