Description of Montespina Verdejo 2019
Montespina Verdejo 2019 (Verdejo)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: Straw yellow, light green trim. Clean and bright.
- Nose: expressive, varietal aromas as mown hay and fennel with other typical range as tropical fruits (pineapple, guava, mango and passion fruit).
- Mouth: intense, fruity, with good acidity and final refreshing and long.
APPELLATION: Rueda
VINEYARD: Vineyards located mainly in the area of Segovia. Over 600 hectares, 90 of which old vines, some centuries. Poor composition.
GRAPES: 100% Verdejo.
AGEING: then the new wine was racked and remained in contact with the fine lees that contributed volume and complexity.
PREPARATION: after a rigorous control of ripening, harvesting was carried out in the first half of September. After de-stemming, maceration slight cold was made to increase the aromatic intensity of the wine. The grapes were gently pressed and the clean must fermented at controlled temperature for a period of 20 days.
WINE PAIRING: Ideal as an aperitif, perfect with seafood and fish.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 7-10ºC
ALCOHOL: 13%

A beautiful colour. Very pleasant citrus scent. I noticed the 2015 a little astringent.
- View: Montespina Verdejo 2014 has a straw yellow colour with greenish hints.
- Nose: The nose is very expressive, with aromas of freshly cut hay, fennel, tropical fruits such as pineapple, guava and mango.
- Mouth: The palate is fruity and creamy with a very fruity, long and silky finish.
