VINEYARD: Le Caniette. The company was founded in 1987 when Raffaele Vagnoni bought the farm "Le Caniette" near Ripatransone and his family moved there. In 1990, the brand gut was designed and Gianfranco Notargiacomo, artist and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, proposed the names of the wines before "Morellone" and "beautiful Rosso". 2007 a new facility opened with two cellars and a tasting room. With its modern and functional design, the property is ideal for public and private events, such as exhibitions, conferences, business lunches and private parties. GRAPES: 70% Montepulciano, 30% Sangiovese

AGEING: malolactic conversion in oak barrels for 20 to 24 months and one year in stainless steel. Bottle aging for at least 3 months.

PREPARATION: The vines are planted in sandy soil with limestone deposits in 280 and 300 meters. The grapes are soaked after a careful reading of 6-10 days in stainless steel.

I found it at home, can't remember where I bought it.
Has a very cheerful colour. Berry aromas which are typical of Sangiovese. Extraordinary flavour with caramel hints.

It had an intense colour. Aromas of oak.The best aftertaste of Rosso Piceno.
For the meal we had, this wasn't the proper wine.
I drank it together with my sister.
