Graham Beck Brut Rose Vintage (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: beautiful pink salmon.
- Nose: aromas of ripe blueberries remarkable and subtle spices Pinot Noir, a creamy complexity of the Chardonnay.
- Mouth: an explosion of light flavors of raspberry and honeysuckle, delicate but persistent foam.
APPELLATION: Western Cape, South Africa.
VINEYARD: Pinot Noir handpicked growing decomposed granite soils in Helderberg. Stellenbosch region forms the backbone of this mixture and it was a whole group with a single clonal selection of Chardonnay that grows in soils rich in limestone in Robertson farm.
GRAPES: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay 85% 15%
PREPARATION: aged for 5 years in contact with the lees before disgorgement.
WINE PAIRING: both varieties were selected by hand and then pressed together. Only fraction cuvée (juice recovered with the least amount of pressure) was used for this wine exquisite. After fermentation, the wine was lightly rinsed and bottled for secondary fermentation.
