TASTING NOTES OF Viña Ardanza Reserva 375ml 2009:

  • View: Cherry red, intense, bright and clean.
  • Nose: Huge freshness thanks to notes of cherry and cassis, notes of black pepper, snuff, nutmeg, coffee, caramel and vanilla.
  • Mouth: friendly entrance, tasty, soft freshness, nice structure, balanced acidity and fine and elegant tannins. silky finish, with good aftertaste, licorosas notes of black currant, roasted and sweet spices.

APPELLATION: Rioja.

GRAPES: 80% Tempranillo, 20% Grenache.

AGEING: 36 months, with six barrels manuals average age 4 rackings, and Garnacha for 30 months with 5 manual rackings, in barrels of 2 and 3 wines.

PREPARATION: alcoholic fermentation naturally controlled temperature and then malolactic fermentation. Step separately by American oak barrels.

PAIRING: lasagne bolognese.

TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.5%
