Viña Ardanza Reserva 2010 (Tempranillo and Garnacha negra)
- View: cherry red garnet edges.
- Nose: Fresh, spicy, with notes of sweet cherries, cranberries and strawberries ripe with notes of black pepper, sweet licorice, nutmeg, coffee, vanilla and cinnamon.
- Mouth: Opulent and fresh with silky tannins.
APPELLATION: Rioja, Spain
VINEYARD: La Rioja Alta
GRAPES: 80% Tempranillo, 20% Grenache.
AGEING: The Tempranillo aged for 36 months in barrels six manual rackings 4 years of middle age, and Garnacha did for 30 months with 5 manual rackings, in barrels of 2 and 3 wines.
PREPARATION: Harvest manually and selectively in refrigerated transport boxes and not to alter the temperature of the grapes. It was conducted in mid-October. The fermentation was performed naturally and temperature controlled. Malolactic completed at the end of the year. In March 2011, the wine was transferred to American oak barrels separately.
WINE PAIRING: Chaperone red meat, pasta bologna, roast lamb, grilled to the sarmiento, hunting and smoked and cured cheeses.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16º - 18ºC
