A classic and indispensable wine, the Viña Ardanza Reserva 2008 is one of the Rioja's best wines, maybe even of Spain! The prestigious Guide Wines from Spain awarded it the title of "Best Rioja Wine" in 2015, and it stood among the Wine Spectator's list of Best Wines in the World in 2014.

Vintage after vintage, the Bodega La Rioja Alta demonstrate its know-how with Viña Ardanza Reserva which celebrates its 75th anniversary. This vintage is even more impressive than the 2001 and 2004 thanks to a favourable climate, a notable grape ripeness and a limited production. The wines are simply exceptional.

Moreover, the Viña Ardanza Reserva 2008 is the first vintage to entail Garnacha from their vineyards located at an altitude above 500m. This superior terroir yields grapes which show all the typical qualities of the varietal. The wine has rich aromas and a great finesse. Viña Ardanza Reserva 2008 is characterised by its freshness, flavours of cherry and blackcurrant, complex notes of aging in barrels such as spices, coffee, nutmeg, nice in the mouth, elegant tannins and a silky finish.
