Solaguen Crianza 2014 (Tempranillo)
- View: ruby, in the center, dark red, sharp edge.
- Nose: cherry jam, blackberry, woody notes, very fruity, cinnamon and toasted vanilla notes.
- Mouth: full, powerful impression, good balance between good acidity and a velvety touch, dairy and marinated fruit, full-bodied, good complexity, strength and wealth of nuances.
VINEYARD: 80 hectares of vineyards in Labastida, old vines with an average age of 30 years planted in Rioja Alavesa at an altitude between 450 and 550 meters.
AGEING: 12 months aging in bottle before marketing.
PREPARATION: destemmed grapes, performing a pre-fermentation maceration at 8 °C for 120 hours. Later, alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the skins for 8 days at controlled temperature.
PAIRING: meats and other red meats, stews, casseroles, lamb, Spanish chorizo, hard and blue cheeses.
