Roda Reserva 2016 (Garnacha, Graciano and Tempranillo)
- View: cherry red background and red cherry trim. vivid colors representing the variety.
- Nose: good intensity, with perfectly integrated wood. Highlights on the whole red fruit, cherry as its centerpiece.
- Mouth: voluminous and full. A very elegant wine with freshness. It's a long wine that lingers long and has an important retronasal.
APPELLATION: DO Rioja Alta.
VINEYARD: Bodegas Roda.
GRAPES: 85% Tempranillo, 9% and 6% Grenache Graziano.
AGEING: in French oak barrels. 40% and 60% new second use. 14 months in barrel and 30 months in bottle before going to market.
PREPARATION: alcoholic fermentation in French oak barrels (with temperature control), followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak.
WINE PAIRING: Serve with roasts, sausages and cheeses.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 15-18 ° C

The Roda is very good if served cold.
The Roda I Reserva has a red cherry colour. Strong smell of violets, it seemed odd. Slight smoky flavour and very light.
