Description of Ramón Bilbao Gran Reserva 2011
Ramón Bilbao Gran Reserva 2011 (Graciano, Mazuelo and Tempranillo)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: cherry red, tile trim, clean and bright.
- Nose: complex, notes of underbrush, spicy, fruity aromas, candied fruit, toasted notes, mineral notes and fine wood.
- Mouth: elegant tannins, bright, complex, harmonious, breeding notes, snuff, cocoa, frutale mineral notes, long and persistent.
APPELLATION: Rioja.
VINEYARD: The grapes come from old vineyard plots Haro and its surroundings (Las Arogues, La Llana, San Prudencio)
GRAPES: Grenache, Graciano and Tempranillo.
AGEING: 30 months in American oak barrels. After bottling the wine spends 36 months aging in an underground wine rack.
PREPARATION: vintage and manual selection during the third week of October. Once in the winery grape, wine fermented at a controlled temperature
WINE PAIRING: Grilled red meats, cheeses, roasts and small game.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 17ºC
ALCOHOL: 14%

Bodegas Ramon Bilbao was founded in 1924. Already in the nineteenth century, Bilbao Murga family, with its parent D. Ramon at the helm, the wines marketed Ramón Bilbao Viña Turzaballa.
