You will like to know that…
In the heart of the Spanish Rioja, which is one of the most famous winemaking regions in the world, can be found Bodegas Navaja S.L. This Spanish company has been producing wines since 1918, modernizing its facilities in the early 2000s to make sure that the quality and care put into the wines it creates would continue to be at the highest standards. The company controls a total of 150 hectares in the Rioja DOC, divided between the Rioja Alta and the Rioja Baja regions, where the soil is absolutely perfect for growing grapes of the best quality.
Navajas Tinto Joven, whose name means "young red," is just one product from the fine collection at Bodegas Navaja. This cherry-red wine is made using 95% Tempranillo and 5% Mazuelo grapes. The Tempranillo is a typical Spanish grape, so the addition of Mazuelo is noteworthy. This grape adds both acidity and fruit aromas of the final product that set it apart from other similar red wines.
Since this is a young wine, it only spends a few months maturing in stainless-steel tanks before bottling. This means that it is a very fresh expression of the flavour and aroma inherent in the grapes, which have not been muted by either time or wood. Complex, lively, and, above all, tasty, this would be an excellent accompaniment for any meal.
