Discover More About Our Products

This traditional Gran Reserva is usually only produced every 4 years and is the flagship wine at Bodegas Muga. The Prado Enea crop is located in Villalba de Rioja, on the south-facing slope of the Obarenes Mountains, a recognised high-quality terroir. These grapes are always the last to be brought into the winery to ensure the ideal level of ripeness. 2011 is an excellent vintage in Rioja, producing great aged wines that can be stored for a long time. This wine pairs well with meat dishes, fish, casseroles and cheese.

Bodegas Muga

Bodegas Muga is located in the historical Barrio de La Estación (railway station district) in Haro. The facilities (270,000 square foot) are two centuries old, built mainly of stone and oak. In fact, oak is paramount in the winery. There are 200 oak deposits as well as 14,000 barrels, made out of different types of oak ranging from French oak (Allier, Tronçais or Jupilles), American, Hungarian, Russian and even the small consignment of Spanish oak.

Denna Bodegas Muga luktade kaffe. Smakar trä, vet inte om det var från druvor.
Ett bra värde.

It was a gift from a friend who had bought it here.
Deep colour at first sight. It disclosed a very nice smell of white roses. It seemed a bit salty, it reminded me the sea.

At a dinner with other couples.
The Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva offers wonderful tinges. Good smell of coffee and toffee. The texture of this wine from Bodegas Muga was oily.
Good wine with a dish of lentils.

The best wine in combination with grilled foie. I drank with work colleagues.
The colour was between red and brown. Smell of gooseberries. This 1968 is quite like the previous vintage.
