Mirto forma parte de los vinos de más alta gama de Ramón Bilbao. Se obtiene de algunas de las cepas más viejas de la bodega. Un tinto de estética moderna acostumbrado a ocupar el liderazgo en los rankings más exigentes. Destaca su complejidad e intensidad en nariz y un paso por boca persistente, con taninos maduros y golosos.

Bright and very intense red purple colour. The aromas are powerful, well developed and sophisticated with memories of tobacco, cassis, chocolate coating and cedar wood. It's mouthfeel is filled with perfume added with sensations of blackcurrants, plums, chocolate powder and fallen leaves, with a juicy depth and fresh concentration. Aged in new French oak, it's the most international of the Ramón Bilbao wines: smooth, polished and complex, with lots of perfume, structure and toast and a smoky, savoury finish.

1999, final de una década en la que el vino de Rioja buscaba un nuevo camino, un giro hacia los vinos del Nuevo Mundo. Se buscaba la finura y la frescura perdidas, y se luchó contra el protagonismo de la madera de crianza al mismo tiempo que se reivindicaba el concepto terruño.

Mirto encuentra aquí su lugar para comenzar una revolución, la de los matices modernos y frescos obtenidos de unos viñedos situados en parajes privilegiados. Un vino que ofrece al mismo tiempo consistencia y frescura, equilibrio, fluidez y noble fuerza. Un tinto que no busca ser la expresión de una viña concreta, sino la mejor expresión de una cosecha.

Podríamos decir que Mirto ha marcado un antes y un después en la historia de las Bodegas Ramón Bilbao, abanderando un movimiento que aboca por ir más allá de lo establecido.

Buying Ramón Bilbao wine at Uvinum, it's really worth.
Red primary color with violet hints. Sure smell of gooseberries. It felt too acidic of a Rioja.
