I asked some friends from Rioja to bring it over.
Amazing cherry colour. Fantastic berry aromas. A Rioja with a very good acidity.

Marqués de Riscal Reserva, 2011: Color covered cherry. Balsamic aroma, with notes of ripe black fruit and toast legeramente. Good structure, is tasty, dense and round and elegant tannins. The finish is long and fresh, with a slight memory of the oak.

Un clásico Rioja que nunca deja indiferente
This classic Rioja wine is a wine above all perfectly structured. Intense cherry color, nose nuances of its ripe fruit is clear, creamy oak and appreciated. It has the classic acidity of a Rioja and a noble tannins that give a suggestive elegance. It is now in a perfect place to taste time and has given me better results than the harvest of 2003. It is appreciated that made the Marqués de Riscal in 1860 by incorporating Rioja implementation of technology and culture of wine from the Bordeaux area which gave a new direction to Rioja and Spanish wine. The Marqués de Riscal is made from grapes Tempranillo over 15 years old that are ideal for the American oak, making it a great classic in both the designation of origin of Rioja and Spain.
