You will like to know that…
The Marqués de Murrieta Reserva 2015 is a dry red wine from Rioja, Spain, which owes its elegance and harmony to the Tempranillo grapes and its freshness and liveliness to the small proportions of Mazuelo, Graciano and Granache. This classic Cuvée Riojana has a beautiful, bright cherry red colour, which combines well with the fruity bouquet of black cherries and plums, the light to roasted aromas and the elegant note of oak, as tradition demands. Its juiciness, elegance and harmony on the palate, together with the fine acidity and the fine tannins, embody the art of the workshop to produce a unique wine from grapes of such different quality. All these characteristics have made it possible for this wine to be included in the class of the **100 best wines of 2019 according to the Wine Spectator.
Bodegas Marqués de Murrieta was founded in 1878 by Luciano Francisco Ramón de Murrieta in the region Rioja, who acquired vineyards in Ygay and from the beginning led his wines to success with revolutionary innovations. Acquired in 1983 by Vincente Cebrián Sagarriga, Count of Creixell, today his sons Vincente and Christina Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga manage what is recognised as one of Spain's leading wineries.
The Finca de Ygay, with its 300 hectares of vineyards is located in the southern part of the wine region Rioja, the Rioja. Great. There is also a Castillo de Ygay, built in the 19th century in the style of the castles of Bordeaux. The entire complex was renovated after 8 years of renovation and reopened in 2014.
