Marqués de Murrieta Gran Reserva 2012

Red wine made with Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Garnacha and Graciano vineyards of Finca Ygay located in the Rioja Alta, with a difference in altitude from 320 to 485 meters.
The clusters are de-stemmed and gently squeeze. Grapes fermented separately in stainless steel, with temperature control. The vatting lasts for 9 days during which continuous pumping work and bazuqueos are made to encourage contact of the wort with the skins and cause slow and natural extraction of aromas and polyphenols. After fermentation parts solid grape you are pressed on vertical presses, with a gentle, slow process that favors the extraction of color and ripe tannins residing in the hollej, moving to perform an aging of 29 months in American oak barrels 225 liter capacity.
The result is an elegant wine that combines finesse and complexity and combines the best attributes of tradition and antiquity of this winery with tildes current.

A Gran Reserva with big names at an attractive price. The wine shows a formidable game of fruit, classic oak notes and mineral freshness. He has a wonderful depth of considerable length and of course the unique Murrieta class.

Dark intense red brick colour with a mature aroma of mellow red and dark fruits with hint of spicy oak. Full bodied and generous fruit softening as it matures. Lovely finish full of spicy fruit as it starts to soften and mature.
