La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 Magnum 2010 (Graciano and Tempranillo)
- View: very clean wax red, ruby edging.
- Nose: complex aroma and creamy, balsamic and spicy notes (cinnamon and mint), combined with a background of vanilla and undergrowth. In addition, upon standing, other secondary aromas of red fruit compote and cherry liqueur.
- Mouth: tasty with a very good texture and balance wine. Presents a fresh, tasty combined with very fine and soft tannins elegant.
VINEYARD: grapes for the production of this wine come from vines more than 60 years old emplaced in poor soil type calcareous clay with a mixture of continetal and Atlantic climates.
GRAPES: Tempranillo (90%) and Graciano (10%).
AGEING: After fermentation, a selection of these wines became American oak barrels for 4 years, manufactured by coopers own cellar, where they performed aging process for 48 months.
PREPARATION: The grapes are harvested in boxes of 300 kilograms, followed by rapid refrigerated transport of raw materials to the warehouse thus preventing any deterioration in the quality of the grapes. Once in the winery, alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel containers with temperature control for about 15-18 days. lots that are considered optimal subsequently pass malolactic fermentation completely naturally over a period of between 70 and 90 days.
