TASTING NOTES OF La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 Magnum 2007:
- View: cherry red, ruby edge middle, clean and bright.
- Nose: creamy bouquet, spicy, cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate powder, snuff box and a background of underbrush, then stewed red fruit and cherry liqueur.
- Mouth: tasty, good texture, balanced and fresh, tamed and elegant tannins, long, persistent and refined aftertaste, notes of sweet snuff, cedar and spice, cherry liqueur and toffee.
VINEYARD: Melchorón I and II.
GRAPES: 90% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano.
PAIRING: second courses of a meal and desserts with chocolate.
TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.5%
How to serve
On July 10, 1890, five Basque and Rioja-based vine growers created "Sociedad Vinicola De La Rioja Alta" in what is known as the Haro Station District.
