TASTING NOTES OF La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 2009:
- View: ruby red tile edges, middle layer.
- Nose: intense aromas, fresh, candied fruit and spicy on a balsamic background.
- Mouth: balanced, with silky tannins, polished, large and lasting aftertaste end.
APPELLATION: Rioja.
VINEYARD: La Rioja Alta
GRAPES: Tempranillo and Graciano.
PAIRING: sausages, cheese and meat stews and fish.
TEMPERATURE: between 17 and 18 °C.

On July 10, 1890, five Basque and Rioja-based vine growers created "Sociedad Vinicola De La Rioja Alta" in what is known as the Haro Station District. This was the beginning of a fascinating business venture in which the only dream of the five founders was to craft and age high-quality wines.
