Description of La Cueva del Contador 2017
La Cueva del Contador 2017 (Tempranillo)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: mora red high layer.
- Nose: Fine and deep, red and black fruit, hints of spice, mineral, balsamic, roasted and chocolate notes. With wood very well integrated.
- Mouth: fine and well balanced in terms of maturity and freshness. Final powerful and long. Very elegant.
APPELLATION: Rioja.
GRAPES: 100% Tempranillo.
AGEING: aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
PREPARATION: Fermentation takes place in vats of oak and then begin a period of cold maceration with the grape at a temperature close to 18 ° C, around 2-3 days. Torn fermentations, they develop slowly with temperatures controlled between 21 and 25 ° C, and a duration of between 10 and 12 days.
WINE PAIRING: ham, sausages, meats, aged cheese, regional cuisine, foie gras, soups and stews, game, mushrooms, lamb.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16 ° C
ALCOHOL: 14%
