Gran Dominio Reserva 2012 (Tempranillo)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: Given is a ruby red wine.
- Nose: Aromas of bright red fruits complemented by notes of spices and vanilla oak.
- Mouth: The palate stands out as fleshy and rich on the palate with a long finish.
APPELLATION: Rioja (La Rioja, Spain).
VINEYARD: Great Dominion.
GRAPES: Tempranillo.
AGEING: This wine was aged for 12 months; which are divided into two periods of six months in American oak followed by six months in French oak. Subsequently, the wine underwent 24 months of bottle aging before release.
PREPARATION: The 18 months of storage in American oak barrels produced an explosion of unexpected flavor, where the fruitiness stands out overwhelmingly. After this storage, the wine rests in a special cellar until the tannins have softened and the wine has reached its distinctive flavor.
WINE PAIRING: It is recommended served with dark meat, strong cheeses, salami and home cooking in general.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18 ° C

Red colour and violet edges. Smells good, like a mix of raspberry und strawberry. Astringent, rough taste.
