The grapes used to make Maetierra´s wines are grown in Finca Maetierra, which is located in Calahorra, a municipality that grows 150 hectares of different varieties. Maetierra has opted for modern plantations in a trellis formation, which are harvested mechanically at night when the temperature is the lowest, as the grapes are picked in the last weeks of August.

Attractive cherry red color of medium-high. Intense and complex aroma, where greedy ripe fruit, berries, spices and snuff are mixed. The palate entry is nice, but it unfolds in its path, resulting powerful and unctuous. Fruity notes well integrated with toasted sensations are repeated. Final with mineral notes and undergrowth. Long and pleasant aftertaste.
Gavanza Is a signature wine based on the philosophy Quatro Pagos. Very attractive for both advanced consumers, and for those who simply want to enjoy a great wine of high expression.

I bought it on a website I can not remember.
Red Bordeaux tone. Aromas of red fruit jelly, with notes of green pepper. Taste of blackberries and wild fruits.

I tried Gavanza with wine enthusiasts. A wine with a nice colour. Nice smell like nuts. I think it was a little bit salty.
This Gavanza was very good with the dessert.

Purchased at a specialized store.
There is nothing better at Rioja.
