  • View: This wine is red intense and lively cherry red with garnet tones, without notes of evolution.
  • Nose: It's a potent drink, elegant and rich in olfactory nuances. It highlights the strength of its fruitiness. Dominate the smells of red fruits, black and blue, plus some hints of scrubland (balsamic, herbs).
  • Mouth: It has good structure on the palate, it is fleshy and mostly round, with firm tannins but well worked by raising, providing a velvety touch that blends perfectly with its greasy texture. It has purity of fruit, sweet tannins and a direct end. It has a lot of volume and noble strength, great balance and power remarkable range of flavors and aromas of mouth. Long persistence, with fruity aftertaste well mixed with mineral notes and spices.

APPELLATION: Rioja (La Rioja, Spain).

VINEYARD: Bodegas Sierra Cantabria.

GRAPES: Tempranillo.

AGEING: This process takes place in new Bordeaux barrels of French oak and Central, maturation lasts about eighteen months.

PREPARATION: The grape harvesting is done rigorously and manually. The clusters are chosen properly and take hold to select despalillar and grain by grain. It proceeds to the cold maceration at 8 ° C for five days. Then passes the alcoholic fermentation process that lasts thirteen days in French oak tanks of 28 ° C with selected native yeast in the vineyards. The wort is stepped twice a day during the first eight days of fermentation and once a day during the remaining five days. Hence the maceration with the skins is done for twenty days and malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels (95%) and Central European oak (5%).

WINE PAIRING: Excellent companion to red, white and gelatinous meats, roasts and stews. You can also accompany a good rack of lamb, a good leg of lamb, plus cheeses and meats from beef, venison, duck, goose or quail.

The quality of the great wines is not a result of sheer luck. It requires personal effort, knowledge and passion as well of the earth and the complicity of the weather. Nothing is predominant, everything is important in order to create internationally famous wines. This is the result of hard work of a family with a philosophy that have been passed from generation to generation: to give back to the earth everything that it has given to us through the meticulous elaboration of our wines.
