- View: Coto de Imaz Reserva 2014 is intense cherry cherry color garnet rim.
- Nose: ripe fruit, spicy notes. Complex.
- Mouth: Fleshy, powerful and velvety ripe tannins
VINEYARD: El Coto de Rioja
GRAPES: 100% Tempranillo
AGEING: Aged for 17 months in American oak barrels of 225 liters. Before its release, it was refined in bottle for three and a half years.
PREPARATION: The fermentation was performed with maceration to 18 days stainless steel tanks.
PAIRING: game, red meat, beef
TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12.5% Vol.
How to serve
Located in Oyón (Alava), the famous winery occupies a total area of 110,000 m2, out of which nearly 50,000 m2 are dedicated to the cultivation of vines. The vineyard lies in Cenicero (Rioja Alta), near the Rio Najerilla oriented to the northwest, on predominantly clay soil. The rest of the grapes come from selected vintners from the region, Rioja Alavesa. The grapes ferment in tanks of stainless steel under permanently controlled temperatures. Currently, EL COTO DE RIOJA is elaborating 23 million kg. of grapes/year.More about the Winery
