Called the 2011 vintage as "excellent" by the Rioja Regulatory Board, Coto de Imaz Reserva 2011 is a wine that maintains the freshness of the fruit on the nose in combination with the augmented notes of the barrel, Of being silky and persistent in the mouth. Thanks to the goodness of the harvest, this is a well-structured wine of good quality, and in 30 years, only 8 crops have been rated "excellent". Versatile when it comes to pairing, you will enjoy it especially with meats, fish and, of course, with a good plate of Iberian ham and Manchego cheese.

The Winery

El Coto de Rioja

El Coto de Rioja

Located in Oyón (Alava), the famous winery occupies a total area of 110,000 m2, out of which nearly 50,000 m2 are dedicated to the cultivation of vines. The vineyard lies in Cenicero (Rioja Alta), near the Rio Najerilla oriented to the northwest, on predominantly clay soil. The rest of the grapes come from selected vintners from the region, Rioja Alavesa. The grapes ferment in tanks of stainless steel under permanently controlled temperatures. Currently, EL COTO DE RIOJA is elaborating 23 million kg. of grapes/year.
