TASTING NOTES OF Coto de Imaz Reserva 2011:
- View: cherry red, intense and maroon trim.
- Nose: ripe fruit, spicy and complex notes.
- Mouth: fleshy, powerful, ripe and velvety tannins.

How to serve
Located in Oyón (Alava), the famous winery occupies a total area of 110,000 m2, out of which nearly 50,000 m2 are dedicated to the cultivation of vines. The vineyard lies in Cenicero (Rioja Alta), near the Rio Najerilla oriented to the northwest, on predominantly clay soil. The rest of the grapes come from selected vintners from the region, Rioja Alavesa. The grapes ferment in tanks of stainless steel under permanently controlled temperatures. Currently, EL COTO DE RIOJA is elaborating 23 million kg. of grapes/year.More about the Winery

Classic red cherry color of a 2016. I really appreciated the berry smell. Although I prefer less sweet wines, this one it was good.
Good wine to drink between hours.
