Coto de Imaz Reserva 2010 (Tempranillo)
TASTING NOTES OF 2010 Coto de Imaz Reserva:
- View: Beautiful and intense cherry red. Clean and bright. Abundant and fine tear.
- Nose: Great variety of aromatic notes of ripe fruit and fine cocoa.
- Mouth: Soft and tasty with a good balance between alcohol, acidity and tannins. Long finish with a slightly spicy aftertaste.
WINERY: El Coto de Rioja
VINIFICATION PROCESS: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with maceration time of up to 18 days.
AGING: 17 months in American oak of 225 l. Three years and a half in the bottle.

How to serve
Located in Oyón (Alava), the famous winery occupies a total area of 110,000 m2, out of which nearly 50,000 m2 are dedicated to the cultivation of vines. The vineyard lies in Cenicero (Rioja Alta), near the Rio Najerilla oriented to the northwest, on predominantly clay soil. The rest of the grapes come from selected vintners from the region, Rioja Alavesa. The grapes ferment in tanks of stainless steel under permanently controlled temperatures. Currently, EL COTO DE RIOJA is elaborating 23 million kg. of grapes/year.More about the Winery

Classic red cherry color of a 2016. I really appreciated the berry smell. Although I prefer less sweet wines, this one it was good.
Good wine to drink between hours.
This wine is rather watery for my taste.
