Castillo Ygay 1994

The reddish brown edges were not very nice. Definitely the wrong colour, although it was an acceptable wine. It smells like wild berries.A wine with presence.
I recommend to taste it with prosciutto.
The best wine of  the family Marqués de Murrieta.

Castillo Ygay 1994

red wears a ruby red robe. Toffee smell, followed by coffee smell. Pleasant, well-balanced.
This red went oustandingly well with our food.

Marques de Murrieta Castillo Ygay 2007
Deep red garnet color. Aromatically rich spicy nose with ripe cherries, plums and warm spices. Lovely dense, ripe berry fruits palate with earth, spice and blackberry fruit, as well as some subtle green notes adding freshness. Lovely density and freshness as well as some richer spicy notes.
