complex nose with a perfect balance between flavors derived from an exquisite use of wood and the perfect maturity of exceptional grapes. wild berries, smoke, pencil lead, spices (pepper and vanilla), balsamic are accentuated with time in the glass and a mystical aura that seems inherent in the wines of Vega Sicilia. The best pairing would have been fish. Great for romantic evenings.
Red almost purple colour. Clear notes of toffee. It was light.

Vega Sicilia Valbuena N5 Bodegas Ribera del Duero 2014

Opaque ruby. Spice- and mineral-accented aromas of dark berries, cherry pit and potpourri, with a toasty topnote. Minerally, incisive and sweet on the palate, offering smoky cherry and blackcurrant flavors complicated by vanilla, mocha and licorice. Shows impressive power and vivacity on the youthfully tannic finish, with the smoke and spice notes strongly repeating.

Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5º Año 2010 - grandioso vino
I was lucky last week at a dinner to enjoy this piece of wine! Thanks Paul;)) We let oxygenate few minutes (cost endure) and the truth is that this is tremendous Ribera del Duero. Elegant, intense aromas. . . not leave you indifferent. The 14, 5 degrees are not noticeable on the palate and is tremendous warmth and flavors that leaves you in the mouth. A great wine that if for any occasion pq price is tremendous too!
