Vega Sicilia

Vega Sicilia winery is probably the most recognized Spanish wine-growing estate on international level. It was founded by Eloy Lecanda in 1864. During its nearly 150 years of history, the owners of the winery changed but the wines always have kept their personality: concentrated, genres and very elegant. Vega Sicilia currently belongs to Alvarez Mezquíriz who bought it in 1982, looking to be at the forefront regarding the latest innovations in the process of growing, winemaking and expanding the vineyard area.

4/5

Twinkling cherry colour. It has aromas that reminded me of white roses. It tasted like grape juice.
I decided not to pair it with any dish.
My partner loves this Ribera del Duero.

It disclosed a very nice smell of white roses. This 2007 is quite like the previous vintage.
It is important to serve at the proper temperature.

To emphasize on this  the smell of coffee. It reveals a kind of salty aftertaste.
This wine fulfilled my high expectations completely.
