TASTING NOTES OF Vega Sicilia Único 2007:

  • View: bright cherry.
  • Nose: aroma of ripe fruit, sweet spices, creamy oak, medium intensity, balsamic, scrubland.
  • Mouth: tasty mouth, roasted, light, spicy.

APPELLATION: Ribera del Duero.

GRAPES: Tinto Fino and Cabernet Sauvignon.

AGEING: 14 months remained wooden vats, 18 months in new oak barrels, 8 months in semi-new casks and 24 months in wooden vats large capacity. Rest in bottle to marketing.

TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C

ALCOHOL: 14.5%

TASTING NOTES OF Vega Sicilia Unico 2007:
- View: Deep ruby.
- Nose: pure nose of red fruits, balsamic aromas, cedar, cigar box. Too complex.
- Mouth: elegant and refined own elegant attack, firm mouth pass without fanfare and an end mineral mouth character of a slow and difficult maturity.

APPELLATION: Ribera del Duero.

GRAPES: 95% 5% Tinto Fino and Cabernet Sauvignon.

PAIRING: big and small game, wild boar, deer, roe deer, red meats, roasts, stews or roast lamb.
TEMPERATURE: 16 °C
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14%

Vega Sicilia Unico Cosecha 2007

As I had it between meals I could not pair it. My best friend had tried it and she recommended it to me.
It's a red with an opaque tone. In my opinion, the most noticeable smell is raspberry. I noticed a kind of salty aftertaste in the finish.

To buy Vega Sicilia Unico 2007 at Uvinum is so easy that I had no doubts.
Red almost purple colour. I would highlight the aromas of tobacco. An oil-textured wine.

This harmonious red is balanced and deep, offering ripe plum and currant flavors, with black pepper, tobacco, licorice and mineral accents. Delivers plenty of structure, with well-integrated tannins and lively acidity. The wine remains graceful through the long, spicy finish.
